APPOINTMENT OF A NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR TO THE BOARD OF THE MANAGEMENT
COMPANY OF THE NFCIS, NEWFUNDS

In accordance with paragraph 3.59 of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited, the board of
directors ("the board") is pleased to inform securities holders of the appointment of Ms. Christina
Maria Ruth Playne as non-executive director to the board with immediate effect.

Ms. Playne has focused on the development of strategy and marketing plans and their
implementation for over 20 years, across a wide range of industries working across private, public and
not-for-profit sectors, both locally and internationally, inclusive of financial services, telecoms,
packaging, food and beverages, retail, automotive, resources, energy, Government, services, early
childhood development and healthcare. She is currently the Head of Strategy and Planning at
Barclays Africa Wealth, Investment Management and Insurance. Ms. Playne holds a Bachelor of Arts
(Honours) degree and completed her Master of Business Administration degree at University of
Witwatersrand.

The board welcomes Ms. Playne to the board and looks forward to her contribution to the Company.
