Matt joined the Anglo American Executive Leadership Team when he was appointed as the CEO of Anglo American's Marketing business on 1 December 2023. He joined Anglo American's finance team in 2007 and has served as Group Head of Corporate Finance and Group Treasurer. He has also held a number of senior finance and other roles across the business, including as chief financial officer of the copper business in Chile. Matt holds a BSc (Hons) Economics and Economics History from the University of Warwick and is a Chartered Accountant and a member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland. He will also serve as a member of the Strategy and Investment Committee and a member of the Human Resources and Remuneration Committee with effect from 1 April 2024.
