MANDATORY AUDIT FIRM ROTATION
Shareholders are advised that in accordance with the mandatory audit firm rotation rule
issued by the Independent Regulatory Board for Auditors, the Company has conducted
a formal tender process to appoint a new firm of external auditors.
Pursuant to paragraph 3.75 of the JSE Listings Requirements, the Board has approved
the Audit & Risk Committee’s recommendation to appoint Ernst & Young Inc. (“EY”) as
the external auditor of the Company with effect from the financial year ending 30 March
2024.
The appointment is still subject to approval, by the shareholders of the Company, at the
Company’s AGM to be held in 2022.
The incumbent external auditors, PricewaterhouseCoopers Inc, (“PwC”) will continue to
act as the external auditors for the financial years ending 31 March 2022 and 31 March
2023.
PwC’s appointment will be terminated upon the conclusion of the audit of the financial
year ending 31 March 2023.
