FINANCIAL RESULTS FOR THE YEAR ENDED 30 SEPTEMBER 2020 AND CASH
DIVIDEND DECLARATION


1.   SALIENT FEATURES

     Revenue increased by 10.7% to R3,642 million, from R3,291 million in the prior
     corresponding period.

     Headline earnings per share increased by 16.6% to 398.5 cents per share, from 341.9
     cents per share in the prior corresponding period.

     Earnings per share increased by 16.6% to 398.5 cents per share, from 341.9 cents per
     share in the prior corresponding period.

     Fund management earnings are used by management to measure operating financial
     performance, which excludes the net impact of fair value gains and losses, and related
     foreign exchange, on investment securities held and measured according to IFRS 9. Fund
     management earnings per share increased by 14.2% to 383.1 cents per share, from 335.5
     cents per share in the prior corresponding period.

     Gross dividends per share increased by 12.3% to 383 cents per share, from 341 cents
     per share in the prior corresponding period.


2.   DIVIDEND DECLARATION

     The directors resolved to declare a final gross dividend of 205 cents (2019: 176 cents)
     per share from income reserves in respect of the year ended 30 September 2020. The
     dividend amount, net of South African dividend tax of 20%, is 164 cents (2019: 140.8
     cents) per share for those shareholders who are not exempt from dividend tax. The
     number of ordinary shares in issue at the declaration date is 349 799 102 and the income
     tax number of the Company is 9 675 107 719.
