Directorate - Appointment of NED

intu is pleased to announce the appointment of Stephen (Steve) Barber as non-executive director
with effect from 9 September 2019.

Steve will become a member of intu’s Audit, Remuneration and Nomination & Review committees
on 9 September 2019 and will assume chairmanship of intu’s Audit Committee on 25 October 2019,
taking over from Adèle Anderson who will be standing down from intu’s board on that date.

Steve is an experienced non-executive director and audit committee chairman. He is currently a
non-executive director and audit committee chair of AA plc and Fenwick Limited.

He is a qualified Chartered Accountant (ICAEW). His career has included 25 years from 1973 to 1998
with Price Waterhouse where he was a senior partner. He was then chief financial officer of the
Mirror Group plc from 1998 to 1999, a partner in EY from 2001 to 2005 and chief operating officer of
the Palladian Group from 2005 to 2008.

In his non-executive career, he has also been the audit committee chairman of Next plc (2007-17)
and Domino’s Pizza Group plc (2015-19).

John Strachan, intu’s chairman, said: “I am delighted that Steve is joining the Board in September.
Steve brings extensive experience and expertise to the Board and the Audit Committee which will be
of significant benefit to intu. The Board’s over-riding objective is to focus on driving intu’s new five
year transformational strategy with balance sheet issues being addressed as a priority. I look forward
to Steve’s contribution to the Board’s discussions.

Steve is replacing Adèle Anderson as audit chair. There will be a hand over period prior to Adèle
stepping down from the Board on 25 October 2019 and I would like to take the opportunity to thank
Adèle for her outstanding contribution to the Board and Audit Committee over the past several
years.”

Steve Barber does not own any shares in intu and there are no other matters which require
disclosure under the FCA Listing Rules in relation to his appointment to intu.
