Trading Statement RENERGEN LIMITED Incorporated in the Republic of South Africa (Registration number: 2014/195093/06) Share code: REN ISIN: ZAE000202610 (“Renergen” or “the Company” or “the Group”) TRADING STATEMENT In terms of the Listings Requirements of JSE Limited, companies are required to publish a trading statement as soon as they become reasonably certain that the financial results for the period to be reported on will differ by more than 20% from that of the previous corresponding period. Accordingly, a review of the financial results for period ended 28 February 2019 by the Company has indicated that the loss per share is not expected to differ by more than 20% compared to the loss per share for the period ended 28 February 2018 of 47.1 cents. The headline loss per share is expected to be between 42.18 cents and 49.72 cents, reflecting an increase in the headline loss per share of between 12% and 32% compared to the headline loss per share of 37.68 cents for the period ended 28 February 2018. The reason the headline loss per share having increased for the period ending 28 February 2019 relates to a one-off income event in the period ending 28 February 2018 due to reclassification of foreign exchange translation reserves from comprehensive income to profit and loss on disposal Mega Power Renewables. This reduced the headline loss per share. Mega Power Renewables will have no further impact on the Company moving forward as this project has now been terminated. The financial information on which this trading statement is based has not been reviewed or reported on by the Company’s auditors. The results for the year ended 28 February 2019 are expected to be released on SENS on or about 31 May 2019.
