VOLUNTARY ANNOUNCEMENT: Absa Group Limited U.S.$150,000,000 Fixed Rate Reset Callable
Subordinated Tier 2 Notes due 2036

Absa Group Limited has successfully completed the issuance of a US$150,000,000 Fixed Rate Reset
Callable Subordinated Tier 2 Note. The Notes will mature on 8 June 2036 and may be called on 8 June 2031.
The Notes are rated Ba3 by Moody's Investors Service Ltd and carry a coupon rate of 6.625%. The full

The final order book exceeded USD 400 million, representing an oversubscription level of 2.67 times. UK-
based investors accounted for more than 55% of total demand. Significant interest also came from domestic
South African and Continental European investors, with the remaining allocations to investors from the Middle
East, Asia, and offshore US accounts.

The net proceeds of the issue will be used by Absa Group for its general corporate purposes and for
regulatory capital.
