VOLUNTARY ANNOUNCEMENT: GENERAL REPURCHASE OF ORDINARY SHARES

At the annual general meeting of Argent held on 18 August 2025 (“2025 AGM”), shareholders, by
special resolution, granted a general authority to the board of directors of the Company (“Board”) to
repurchase up to 20% of the issued ordinary share capital of Argent (“2025 Authority”). At the annual
general meeting of Argent held on 30 July 2026 (“2026 AGM”), shareholders, by ordinary resolution,
granted a general authority to the Board to repurchase up to 20% of the issued ordinary share capital
of Argent (“2026 Authority”). Both authorities were granted on the terms and subject to the
conditions specified in the respective notices of AGM. The 2025 Authority lapsed on the date of the
2026 AGM.

Shareholders are advised that Argent has repurchased an aggregate of 30 128 ordinary shares for
an aggregate value of R1 185 513, funded out of the Company’s available cash resources, as

The repurchases were effected through the order book operated by the JSE trading system without
any prior understanding or arrangement between the Company and the counterparties, and in
accordance with the JSE Listings Requirements. No repurchases were effected during a prohibited
period.

The ordinary shares repurchased under the 2025 Authority were de-listed and cancelled on 23
September 2026, and those repurchased under the 2026 Authority were de-listed and cancelled on
25 September 2026.

In terms of the 2026 Authority, which is valid until Argent’s next annual general meeting, the
Company may repurchase up to a further 10 609 551 ordinary shares (19.96% of the ordinary shares
in issue as at the date on which the 2026 Authority was granted).

As at the date of this announcement, the Company holds nil ordinary shares in treasury. The
repurchases were funded from excess working capital resources of the Company, and the interest
that would have been generated for the Group’s banking facility is minimal.

The Board confirms that it has considered the effect of the repurchases and has applied the solvency
and liquidity test in terms of the Companies Act.
