VOLUNTARY TRADING UPDATE FOR THE PERIOD ENDED 30 SEPTEMBER 2026
Optasia provides the following update for the nine-month period ended 30 September 2026 ('9M 2026').
Based on preliminary management accounts, Optasia generated revenue of approximately $270 million in 9M 2026, representing growth of 45% versus the nine-month period ended 30 September 2025 ('9M 2025'). In 9M 2026, Optasia distributed approximately $5.1 billion of value through its platform, an increase of 34% on 9M 2025. Reported results in the first half of 2026 included a foreign exchange benefit, which has since largely eased.
Of total revenue, Micro-Financing Solutions ('MFS') contributed approximately $194 million, an increase of 67% on 9M 2025, and Airtime Credit Solutions ('ACS') contributed approximately $75 million, an increase of 8% on 9M 2025. MFS therefore accounted for approximately 72% of Group revenue in the year to date, and remains the Group's primary growth driver. The average ticket size for MFS continued to increase, and the combined take rate rose to 5.3% (9M 2025: 4.9%).
Since the H1 2026 update, airtime credit services in Nigeria have continued to stabilise under the new multi-provider structure. Over the same period, the Group has launched three new deployments, rolling out merchant loans in Uganda and launching two banking deployments with FirstRand (ACS and MFS).
Shareholders are advised that the Company's previous targets for the financial year ending 31 December 2026 remain unchanged.
The financial information in this announcement is the responsibility of the directors and has not been reviewed or reported on by the Company's external auditors. Johannesburg 3 November 2026 Sponsor The Standard Bank of South Africa Limited Date: 05/11/2026 07:05:00
