Kumba statement regarding the merger of Anglo American and Teck

The Board of Kumba Iron Ore Limited ("Kumba") notes the announcement made on 9 September 2025 by Anglo American
plc ("Anglo American") regarding the agreement it has reached with Teck Resources Limited ("Teck") to combine the two
companies to form Anglo Teck, a global critical minerals champion.

The Board notes the announcement highlights that the premium iron ore produced by Kumba will remain a key
component of the combined company.

The transaction is subject to a number of customary completion and regulatory conditions and is expected to complete in
12-18 months.
