TRADING STATEMENT
In terms of the Listings Requirements of JSE Limited, companies are required to publish a trading statement as
soon as they become reasonably certain that the financial results for the period to be reported on will differ by
more than 20% from those of the previous corresponding period.
As detailed in the 2020 interim results released on 25 June 2020, Hudaco’s trading operations during the first half
of the 2020 financial year were severely impacted by the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic and the associated
level 5 lockdown. This has not been the case in the six months to 31 May 2021.
Accordingly, shareholders are advised that, for the six months ended 31 May 2021 headline, comparable and
basic headline earnings per share ("HEPS", “CEPS” and “EPS”, respectively) are all expected to be between 660
cents and 710 cents. For the six months ended 31 May 2020 HEPS was 195 cents, CEPS was 69 cents and EPS
was a loss of 738 cents.
The financial information on which this trading statement is based has not been reviewed or reported on by
Hudaco’s auditors. Hudaco's interim results are expected to be released on SENS on or about 25 June 2021.
