Notification of Change in Auditor

The Audit Committee and Board of Directors of Finbond Group Limited wish to inform shareholders of the
appointment of BDO South Africa as Group external auditors and the simultaneous termination of the
services of SNG Grant Thornton as Group external auditors, effective 18 October 2019. The lead audit
partner from BDO South Africa will be Mr. Pierre Jacobs.

Although the services of SNG Grant Thornton as auditors of Finbond Group Limited have been terminated,
they will continue as auditors of Finbond Mutual Bank, a major investment of the Finbond Group.

The appointment of separate Group and Bank auditors will further strengthen corporate governance and
is in alignment with the recent separation of the Boards of Directors of Finbond Group Limited and
Finbond Mutual Bank. Furthermore, the appointment of BDO South Africa will create additional external
audit capacity to support the Group’s international expansion strategy.
