FINANCIAL RESULTS FOR THE INTERIM PERIOD ENDED 31 MARCH 2024 AND CASH
DIVIDEND DECLARATION
1. SALIENT FEATURES
Revenue increased by 4.3% to R1,893 million from R1,815 million in the prior
corresponding period.
Basic earnings and headline earnings per share increased to 200.5 cents per share, from
6.2 cents per share in the prior corresponding period.
Fund management earnings are used by management to measure operating financial
performance, which excludes the net mark-to-market impact of fair value gains and
losses, and related foreign exchange, on investment securities held. Fund management
earnings per share increased to 185.8 cents per share, from a loss of 13.0 cents per share
in the prior corresponding period.
An interim dividend of 185.0 cents per share was declared for the period ended 31 March
2024 (no dividend was declared in the prior corresponding period).
2. DIVIDEND DECLARATION
The directors resolved to declare an interim gross dividend of 185.0 cents (March
2023:Nil) per share from income reserves for the period ended 31 March 2024. The
dividend amount, net of South African dividend tax of 20%, is 148.0 cents (March
2023:Nil) per share for those shareholders who are not exempt from Dividend Tax. The
number of ordinary shares in issue at the declaration date is 349 592 298 and the income
tax number of the Company is 9 675 107 719.

Declaration date: Tuesday, 21 May 2024
Last day to trade cum dividend: Tuesday, 11 June 2024
Trading ex-dividend commences: Wednesday, 12 June 2024
Record date: Friday, 14 June 2024
Payment date: Tuesday, 18 June 2024
Share certificates may not be dematerialised or rematerialised between Wednesday,
12 June 2024 and Friday, 14 June 2024, both days inclusive.
