APPOINTMENT OF AN INDEPENDENT NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
In accordance with the Listings Requirements of the Botswana Stock Exchange Limited and the
Johannesburg Stock Exchange, the Board of Directors of the Company (“the Board”) hereby
notifies its shareholders that Mr. Wilfred Victor Mpai (“Wilfred”) has been appointed in terms of
the Company’s Constitutio, as an independent non-executive director of Choppies, with effect
from 22 November 2018. Wilfred’s appointment is subject to confirmation by the shareholders of
the Company at its next annual general meeting.
Wilfred brings to Choppies 28 years of experience in the corporate world, where he has held
senior executive roles in blue chip companies such as Debswana Diamond Company and
Barclays Bank of Botswana. Wilfred is a Chartered Secretary (ACIS), Chartered Certified
Accountant (FCCA) and a Fellow member of Chartered Accountant (Bots) (FCA).
The Board would like to take this opportunity to extend a warm welcome to Wilfred. We believe
his appointment will strengthen the Board.
The Company’s primary listing is on the Botswana Stock Exchange and its secondary listing is on
the Johannesburg Stock Exchange.
