UNAUTHORISED USE OF CHOPPIES' INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

Choppies shareholders ("Shareholders") are referred to various press releases in online and print media in
South Africa and the African sub-continent. The press releases ("Press Release") are regarding the disposal by
an entity named Choppies Supermarkets South Africa Proprietary Limited of a portfolio of retail stores to
Shingai Itai Consortium, led by Shingai Retail Investments.

This is completely misleading and factually incorrect. Shareholders are advised that the Press Release does not
relate to Choppies Enterprises Limited ("CEL") in Botswana. Choppies confirms that it is not the entity referred
to in the Press Release and has not entered any disposal of retail stores as described therein. CEL disposed of
its South African operations in 2019.

For the avoidance of doubt, Shareholders are reminded that Choppies has released its audited group financial
results for the twelve months ended 30 June 2025, which provide all relevant information relating to the Company
for the financial year.
