FITCH UPGRADES CREDIT RATING FOLLOWING THE CHANGE IN RATINGS ON THE SOUTH
AFRICAN SOVEREIGN

On June 12, 2026, Fitch Ratings ("Fitch") upgraded the Long-Term Issuer Default Ratings (IDRs) for Absa
Group and its main operating subsidiary, Absa Bank, to 'BB' from 'BB-'. The outlooks for the Long-Term
IDRs remain Stable.

The upgrades follow the upgrade of South Africa's Long-Term IDRs to 'BB' from 'BB-' on 5 June 2026.
Absa Group and Absa Bank's National Ratings are unchanged.
