Alison joined KPMG in 1990 as a senior consultant and was made a director in 1996 and a partner in 1998 in Financial Services. She was head of Financial Risk Management for 15 years, representing the South African practice in the global centers of excellence for Central Banking and Financial Risk Management. Alison retired from KPMG in May 2020. Alison holds a BCom degree from the University of Edinburgh and a CA from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland. She completed her articles at Arthur Young McClelland Moore in Edinburgh, qualifying as a CA in 1983. She has an Associate Diploma from The Institute of Bankers in South Africa. Alison will become a member of the Group Audit and Compliance Committee (GACC) and Group Risk and Capital Management Committee (GRCMC) on 1 December 2023.
