Disclosure of Beneficial Interest in Securities


In accordance with section 122(3)(b) of the Companies Act, No. 71 of 2008 and section
3.83(b) of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, shareholders are hereby advised that
Aveng received two formal notifications of a change in the beneficial interest of the shares in
Aveng, resulting in a change in the total interest in the ordinary shares of Aveng held by:
    •   JPMorgan Chase & Co, to 15,87% of the total issued ordinary shares of Aveng. This
         includes the 14.39% and 1,49% holdings by Highbridge Capital Management LLC
         and J.P. Morgan Securities plc respectively, being subsidiaries of JPMorgan Chase
         & Co. The notification is not a result of a trading activity but due to J.P. Morgan
         Securities LLC no longer having a right of use over shares belonging to third parties
         in the amount of 4,70%.
    •   UBS Group AG, to 0% of the total issued ordinary shares of Aveng. The notification is
         not a result of a trading activity but due to UBS Group AG no longer having a right of
         use over shares belonging to third parties in the amount of 6,39%.
