Despite precautionary measures, Tower’s Evagold Shopping Centre in Gauteng has been significantly damaged as a result of being looted and then set on fire. As the situation remains volatile the full extent of the damage has not been finally assessed. However, the property is fully insured from both a capital and income perspective. No other Tower properties have been affected by the unrest.
