BELL EQUIPMENT CONCLUDES A DISTRIBUTION AGREEMENT WITH
JCB SALES LTD (“JCB”)


The Company is pleased to announce that a distribution agreement has been reached with
UK-headquartered JCB as original equipment manufacturer in terms of which the Company’s
South African sales and distribution company, Bell Equipment Sales South Africa (“BESSA”)
will become the distributor for the full range of JCB construction equipment in South Africa
with effect from 1 May 2021.

JCB is a family company and the world’s third largest construction equipment brand by
volume and has 22 plants on four continents: 11 in the UK and others in India, Brazil, the
USA, China and Russia. JCB employs more than 12 000 people worldwide and in 2020
celebrated its 75th anniversary.

BESSA is the Company’s level 1 Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (“B-BBEE”)
company responsible for the sale, distribution and support of Bell Equipment’s full-line
product range locally, which takes place through a comprehensive network of Bell-owned
customer service centres.

Together Bell Equipment and JCB are confident that this new partnership will benefit the
market and are now looking forward to supporting customers, both old and new, with world-
class products and service.

This distribution agreement with JCB forms part of the changes to Bell Equipment’s product
distribution arrangements in South Africa anticipated in Bell’s interim results announcement
released on 7 September 2020.
