EASTPLATS RECEIVES PETITION SEEKING LEAVE TO COMMENCE A DERIVATIVE ACTION
December 31, 2020, Vancouver, British Columbia – Eastern Platinum Limited (“Eastplats” or the
“Company”) announces that it has received a petition filed with the Supreme Court of British Columbia,
by Xiaoling Ren, a shareholder of the Company, seeking leave from the court to commence a derivative
action on behalf of the Company against certain of its current and former directors. Ms. Ren is represented
by the same law firm who filed a similar petition in November 2018 (See News Release of November 9,
2018) that was dismissed by the Supreme Court of British Columbia (see News Release of August 29, 2019)
in a decision affirmed by the Court of Appeal for British Columbia (see News Release of November 17, 2020).
The Company will seek advice and make a recommendation on the appropriate action.
