Bertina will assume the title of group corporate affairs director, effective 1 December 2020. The group also announces the appointment of new managing executives for its two main operating businesses, Clicks and UPD. Vikash Singh, currently the managing executive of UPD, has been promoted to managing executive of Clicks, with effect from 1 February 2021. In his new role he has also been appointed to the group’s executive committee. Vikash (47) joined the group in 2006 and is a seasoned executive whose career has spanned financial, operational and supply chain responsibilities, with extensive experience in logistics management in Clicks and UPD. He served as head of operations and distribution at UPD before being appointed as managing executive in 2015. Trevor McCoy has been appointed as managing executive of UPD, effective 1 April 2021. Trevor (51) has 25 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical sector and joins from Sanofi where he currently serves as the country public affairs head. His previous roles have included serving as business unit head in diverse portfolios and therapeutic classes in Sanofi, Pfizer and Alcon, with responsibility for managing sales and marketing teams as well as developing growth strategies for traditional and non-traditional markets.
