REVIEWED CONDENSED CONSOLIDATED FINANCIAL RESULTS FOR THE YEAR ENDED
30 JUNE 2020

The Company is pleased to report the financial results for the year ended 30 June 2020.

Overview of results

•     Revenue decreased by 4.3% to R958.3m (June 2019: R1 001.4m).
•     Basic loss per share decreased to 9.38 cents (June 2019: earnings per share of 13.88 cents).
•     Headline loss per share improved to 2.92 cents (June: 3.30 cents per share).
•     No dividends were declared or paid during the period under review or during the comparative
      period.

Certain group comparative figures have been re-presented as a result of Nkomati Anthracite Proprietary
Limited and Benicon Coal Proprietary Limited no longer being classified as held-for-sale.

Review conclusion

The Company’s auditors, BDO South Africa Incorporated, issued an unqualified review conclusion for
the year ended 30 June 2020. The review conclusion notes the existence of a material uncertainty
relating to a going concern in the event that Afrimat Limited’s acquisition of the ordinary shares of
Unicorn, by way of a scheme of arrangement, is not implemented. The full review report is available on
