APPOINTMENT OF NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTORS
In compliance with paragraph 3.59 of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements,
Shareholders are advised of the appointment of Ms Nontobeko Ndhlazi as non-
executive director and Mr Deon de Kock as an independent non-executive director to
the Sasfin board of directors, and to the board of directors of its wholly-owned
subsidiary, Sasfin Bank Limited (“Sasfin Boards”) with effect from 19 August 2020.
Ms Ndhlazi holds a BCom (Accounting) (University of Natal) and Post Graduate
Diploma (Accounting) (University of Natal) and has been the Group Chief Financial
Officer of Wiphold Limited since 2011. Before joining Wiphold Limited, Ms Ndhlazi was
a director in Deloitte’s financial management consulting division. Ms Ndhlazi brings
significant financial expertise to the Sasfin Boards, including reporting, budgeting, cash
management, tax management, risk management and strategic planning.
Mr de Kock recently retired from his position as Chair of Mercantile Bank after being a
board member since 2000. Mr de Kock completed the Stanford Executive Programme
(Stanford University in California) and held several executive management roles during
his career including CEO of Woolworths Financial Services, executive director of
Woolworths Holdings. Mr de Kock’s leadership and general management skills and
expertise in strategy development and implementation, together with his banking
experience will add much value to the Sasfin Boards.
Mr de Kock, as an independent non-executive director, will be a member of the Group
Audit and Compliance Committee with immediate effect.
The Sasfin Boards welcome Ms Ndhlazi and Mr de Kock and look forward to the
knowledge and experience that they will contribute to the Group.
