NOTIFICATION OF AMENDMENTS TO THE FRB24 AND FRB25 APPLICABLE PRICING SUPPLEMENTS

FRB has received approval from the noteholders of the FRB24 and FRB25 notes, and subsequently,
from the JSE Limited (JSE) in relation to the amendments to the FRB24 and FRB25 applicable pricing
supplements, issued under its ZAR 100 000 000 000 Domestic Medium Term Note Programme.

The FRB24 and FRB25 applicable pricing supplements are amended by the deletion of the existing line
item 43 and the replacement thereof with the following:

 43   Election as to definition of “Trigger Event”: “Trigger Event”
      means either:
          (i)     definition (a) per the definition of “Trigger Event” as    This Item 43(i) is Applicable
                  set out in Condition 1 (Interpretation) of the Terms
                  and Conditions for Additional Tier 1 Capital which
                  are to be accounted for as equity; or

          (ii)     definition (b) per the definition of “Trigger Event” as   This Item 43(ii) is Not Applicable
                   set out in Condition 1 (Interpretation) of the Terms              .
                   and Conditions for Additional Tier 1 Capital which
                   are to be accounted for as liabilities

The supplements to the FRB24 and FRB25 applicable pricing supplements (Supplements), reflecting
the amendments, are available for inspection at the registered office of FRB and will be made available
for inspection on the FRB website, https://www.firstrand.co.za/investors/debt-investor-centre/jse-listed-
instruments/.

The Supplements will also be available for inspection on the JSE’s website, www.jse.co.za.
