Trading Statement RH Bophelo Limited Incorporated in the Republic of South Africa (Registration number: 2016/533398/06) JSE share code: RHB, ISIN: ZAE000244737 (“RHB” or “the Company”) Trading Statement The Company is in the process of finalising its financial year results for the year ended 28 February 2019, which are scheduled to be released on or about 31 May 2019. Shareholders are advised that the Company expects to report earnings per share and headline per share of between 39 to 43 cents, being an increase of between 56% and 72%, compared to prior year of 25 cents. The increase in earnings in the current year period were mainly attributable to the increase in interest income of R24 490 345 (prior year period: R 20 826 640) and an increase in the fair value valuation of RHB’s investee companies of R 16 827 266 (prior year period: Nil). The Company acquired African Healthcare (“AHC”), Vryburg Private Hospital (“VPH”) on 26 April 2018 and Rondebosch Medical Centre Proprietary Limited (“RMC”) on 14 May 2018. The above is based on the weighted average number of shares (“W ANOS”) in issue during the current period ended 28 February 2019 of 50 938 356 (prior year period: 31 780 822). As at 28 February 2019, The Company had a total of 51 250 000 shares in issue, of which 1 250 000 shares were issued in the current year on 26 April 2018. The issued shares formed part of the Africa Healthcare (“AHC”) acquisition . Shares issued in the current period were only included in the calculation of W ANOS for only 330 days.
