SECTION 122 NOTICE: ACQUISITION AND DISPOSAL OF SHARES


In accordance with Section 3.83(b) of the JSE Listings Requirements, South Ocean Holdings
hereby confirms that it has received a notice in terms of Section 122 of the Companies Act, No.
71 of 2008 (“Companies Act”).

Mr Johannes Van Rensburg has informed the Company that he has disposed of a beneficial
interest in the Company to an associate, such that the total beneficial interest in the securities
held by him is now 0.00% of the total issued ordinary share capital of the Company. Mr Van
Rensburg disposed of his beneficial interest to Joseph Investments Proprietary Limited (“Joseph
Investments”). Joseph Investment will now hold a beneficial interest of 8.47% in South Ocean
Holdings.

As required in terms of Section 122 (3)(a) of the Companies Act, South Ocean Holdings will file
the required notice with the Takeover Regulation Panel.
