Update and further cautionary announcement
Shareholders are referred to the announcement released on SENS on 1 October
2014 and are hereby advised that an application was made to the High Court on
2 October 2014 for the winding up of Protech.
The liquidators have advised that the company is in final liquidation; is totally
unable to pay its liabilities; there is no chance that the company will be
resurrected unless somebody proposes a scheme of arrangement in terms of
Section 155 of the Companies Act, 2008 (Act 71 of 2008); and nobody has
discussed the possibility of such a scheme of arrangement.
Protech will be applying to the JSE to be delisted and will advise the outcome
thereof.
Further cautionary announcement
In the light thereof shareholders are advised that Protech’s shares on the JSE
Limited remain suspended and shareholders are accordingly advised to
continue to exercise caution when dealing in the securities until a further
announcement has been made.
