YORKCOR AND SAFCOL RESOLVE ALL LITIGATION AND ARBITRATION MATTERS               
Yorkcor and the South African Forestry Company Limited (Safcol) have settled all
litigation and arbitration matters outstanding between the companies in terms of
a confidential settlement agreement.                                            
Adequate provision was made in Yorkcor"s 2005 year-end balance sheet for the    
agreed payments, details of which will be disclosed in Yorkcor"s interim results
to 30 June 2006.                                                                
A joint media announcement will be made by spokespersons for both companies.
