DISCLOSURE OF BENEFICIAL INTERESTS IN SECURITIES

In terms of paragraph 6.54 of the JSE Listings Requirements and section 122(3)(b) of the
Companies Act, No. 71 of 2008, as amended ("Companies Act"), shareholders are advised that the
Company has received formal notification that Ninety One SA (Pty) Ltd ("Ninety One"), acquired an
interest in the ordinary shares of the Company, such that the total interest held in PPC now amounts
to 5.004% of the total issued ordinary shares of PPC.

The board of directors of PPC ("the Board") accepts responsibility for the information contained in this
announcement and confirms that, to the best of its knowledge and belief, such information is true and
this announcement does not omit anything likely to affect the importance of such information. The
Board has relied on the accuracy of the information contained in the notification received from
Ninety One in making this statement.

The requisite notice, in terms of section 122(3)(a) of the Companies Act, has been filed with the
Takeover Regulation Panel.
