TRADING STATEMENT FOR THE SIX MONTHS ENDED 30 SEPTEMBER 2025
In terms of 3.4(b) of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited ("the Listings Requirements"), a listed
company is required to publish a trading statement as soon as it is satisfied that a reasonable degree of
certainty exists that the financial results for the next period to be reported on will differ by at least 20%
from the previous corresponding period.
Shareholders are advised that:
• group earnings per share ("EPS") is expected to be between 6.10 cents and 6.60 cents per share
for the six months ended 30 September 2025, representing a decrease of between 94.22% and
94.65% compared to 114.11 cents per share for the six months ended 30 September 2024;
• group headline earnings per share ("HEPS") is expected to be between 7.00 cents and 7.30
cents per share for the six months ended 30 September 2025, representing a decrease of
between 93.58% and 93.85% compared to 113.77 cents per share for the six months ended 30
September 2024.
During the corresponding period Goldrush ceased to be an investment entity. That prompted a change
in accounting policy which meant that the financials of the group would be presented in consolidated
format going forward.
The change in accounting policy led to the reversal of a deferred tax liability of R52.7m, which was largely
responsible for the higher group EPS and HEPS in the corresponding period.
The contents of this trading statement and the financial information on which it has been based have not
been reviewed, audited or reported on by the Company's auditors.
