Redemption of ZAR 1,722,000,000 Subordinated Unsecured Tier 2 Notes issued on 28 June 2021 under the 
Standard Bank Group Limited's ("Standard Bank") ZAR 50,000,000,000 Domestic Medium Term Note Programme
dated 24 December 2020.

On 28 June 2021, Standard Bank issued ZAR 1,722,000,000 Subordinated Unsecured Tier 2 Notes (the "SBT209 Notes").

The SBT209 Notes are subject to the terms and conditions contained in the Programme Memorandum dated 24 December 
2020 (the "Programme Memorandum") as read together with the Applicable Pricing Supplement issued in respect of the 
SBT209 Notes dated 23 June 2021 (the "Applicable Pricing Supplement").

In terms of the Applicable Pricing Supplement, the maturity date of the SBT209 Notes is 29 June 2031, unless redeemed 
early at the option of Standard Bank on 29 June 2026, subject to the prior written approval of the Prudential Authority.

Pursuant to Condition 35 of the Applicable Pricing Supplement and having obtained the requisite prior written approval 
from the Prudential Authority, Standard Bank hereby gives notice that it shall redeem the SBT209 Notes on 29 June 2026 at 
100% of the aggregate nominal amount thereof, together with any interest accrued thereon up until that date.
