CHANGES TO THE BOARD AND EXECUTIVE DIRECTORS’ RESPONSIBILITIES
Growthpoint has pleasure in announcing the following changes:
1. Mr Hugh Herman retired as a Non-executive Director of Growthpoint with effect from
the close of business yesterday, 14 November 2017, after close to 23 years of
distinguished service and contribution to the Company and its Board, for which the
Board expressed its gratitude.
2. Pursuant to a revised operational management structure approved by the Board
yesterday for implementation with effect from 1 March 2018, the following Executive
Directors’ roles will change, as follows:
2.1 the Company’s Chief Executive Officer, Mr Norbert Sasse, will become Group
Chief Executive Officer and his primary focus will be on strategic direction of the
Group aligned with Growthpoint’s internationalisation strategy, and overseeing
and representing Growthpoint’s interests in local and international subsidiaries
and associated companies; and
2.2 the Company’s Managing Director, Mr Estienne de Klerk, will become the Chief
Executive Officer: Growthpoint South Africa, in which role he will have dedicated
focus on, and direction of, Growthpoint’s South African operations and will
continue to support the Group CEO in relation to Group strategy and oversight of
strategic investments.
