Trading Statement AH-VEST LIMITED (Incorporated in the Republic of South Africa) (Registration number 1989/000100/06) (“AH-Vest” or “the company”) Share code: AHL ISIN code: ZAE000129177 TRADING STATEMENT In terms of paragraph 3.4(b)(i) of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited (“JSE”), listed companies are required to publish a trading statement as soon as they become reasonably certain that the financial results for the period to be reported on next will differ by at least 20% from those of the previous corresponding period or from a profit forecast previously provided to the market in relation to such period. Shareholders are advised that due to delays by Eskom in providing a single demand line and the continued high levels of loadshedding, the Company’s production volumes were materially negatively impacted, resulting in significant lost sales. Additional generator capacity has been installed during the month of April 2023 to reduce this impact going forward. In addition, the Company has continued to face increased cost pressures on operating costs caused by increased fuel and distribution costs as well as import costs due to a weakening exchange rate, both of which are not controllable by management. The Board would like to advise shareholders that for the six months ended 31 December 2022, the Company expects to report: - Headline earnings per share (“HEPS”) to decline by 68.5% from 6.00 cps to 1.89 cps reported for six months ended 31 December 2021; and - Normal earnings per share (“EPS”) to decline by 66.5% from 6.00 cps to 2.01 cps reported for the six months ended 31 December 2021. The financial information on which this trading statement is based has not been reviewed and reported on by the Company’s auditors.
