`Lord Of The Rings` Trilogy
HARMONY SECURES NORTH AMERICAN RIGHTS FOR
`LORD OF THE RINGS` TRILOGY
Johannesburg, 17 October 2002 - Harmony today announced
that the company had secured the distribution rights to the United
States and Canada for the Lord of the Rings trilogy.
The licensing rights include the distribution of `The One Ring`, gold
and silver jewellery, investment bars and coins.
"We are extremely pleased with securing the rights for the North
American market for these products produced in South Africa.
Beneficiation of our gold has been high on our priority list and
initiatives like these ensure new opportunities for South Africa and
its people," commented Ferdi Dippenaar, marketing director.
The company was successful in producing `The One Ring` for the
launch of the `Lord of the Rings` trilogy in 2001. `The Two Towers`,
the second motion picture is set for release in December 2002 and
is expected to be even more popular than `The Fellowship of the

as Emthuthwini and the Virginia Jewellery School will be producing
the silver articles associated with the three motion pictures. Orders
to the value of in excess of R1,0 million have already been placed
by Harmony with Emthuthwini and the Virginia Jewellery School for
delivery to the North American market.
