RESIGNATION OF DESIGNATED COMPANY SECRETARY

In compliance with paragraph 3.59 of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, shareholders are advised
that Mr Mustafa Bagus, the designated Company Secretary of NewGold, representing the Company
Secretary, Absa Secretarial Services Proprietary Limited (Reg. No. 1973/014516/07), has resigned with
effect from 3 September 2021.

The board of directors of the Company wishes to thank Mr Bagus for his service and contribution during
his tenure.

The management team of the Company Secretary will continue to provide support to NewGold in the
interim, until an announcement is made on the appointment of the replacement designated Company
Secretary.
