EMPOWERMENT ANNUAL COMPLIANCE CERTIFICATE
Shareholders and bondholders ("security holders") are referred to the SENS announcement released on
28 September 2018 and are advised that the 2018 integrated report containing the audited annual financial
statements for the year ended 30 June 2018 (on which the auditors expressed an unmodified audit opinion)
and the notice of annual general meeting were dispatched to shareholders today, Wednesday, 31 October 2018
and contains no changes from the preliminary audited summarised consolidated financial statements for the
year ended 30 June 2018, published on 21 August 2018. The integrated report is available on the Company's

The annual general meeting for Fortress shareholders will be held at the Company's registered office, Block C,
Cullinan Close, Morningside, 2196 on Friday, 30 November 2018 at 14h00. The last day to trade in order to
be eligible to participate in and vote at the annual general meeting is Tuesday, 20 November 2018 and the
record date for voting purposes is Friday, 23 November 2018.
Security holders are further advised that, in accordance with the JSE Listings Requirements, the Company's
annual compliance report, prepared in terms of section 13G(2) of the Broad-Based Black Economic
Empowerment Act 53 of 2003 read with the Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment Amendment Act
46 of 2013, is available on the Company's website:
