BROAD-BASED BLACK ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT ACT (“THE ACT”): ANNUAL
COMPLIANCE REPORT

In accordance with paragraph 16.21 (g) and Appendix 1 to Section 11 of the JSE Listing
Requirements, notice is hereby given that the Company’s annual compliance report in
terms of section 13G(2) of the Act has been published and is available on Investec’s
website at www.investec.com.

Investec Limited has been rated a level 2 B-BBEE contributor for the financial year ended
31 March 2022. For the prior four years, the Company was rated a level 1 B-BBEE
contributor. The reason for the drop in the rating is that the Financial Sector Transformation
Council (FSTC) has declined the Company’s application for exemption from the access
provisions (financial inclusion) contained in the Financial Sector Code. Given Investec’s
business model, the Company has been granted this exemption since 2006. Investec is
engaging with the FSTC to resolve the matter.
