RESIGNATION OF GROUP COMPANY SECRETARY

In compliance with paragraph 3.59(b) of the Listings Requirements of JSE Limited, shareholders are advised that
Ms Leeanne Goliath has resigned as Group Company Secretary of AngloGold Ashanti with effect from 20 July
2023 to pursue another opportunity. Ms Goliath will continue to fulfil her duties until 20 October 2023.

The Board wishes to thank Ms Goliath for her service during her tenure and wishes her the very best in her future
endeavours.

AngloGold Ashanti will commence a process of appointing a suitable replacement and advise shareholders of the
appointment of a new Company Secretary in due course.
