APPOINTMENT OF INDEPENDENT NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR AND CHANGES TO BOARD COMMITTEES

The Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Lwazi Bam as an independent Non-Executive
Director of WHL with effect from 1 May 2023. Lwazi’s appointment, which the Board confirms was made in
accordance with the WHL Appointment of Directors Policy, supplements the business leadership and
corporate finance skills on the Board and Committees. He will also serve as a member on the Risk,
Information and Technology and Audit Committees of the Group.

A Chartered Accountant by profession, Lwazi has extensive expertise across various industries gained from
his 29-year tenure at Deloitte. During his tenure, he served as CEO of Deloitte Africa and Deloitte Southern
Africa for a period of ten years until May 2022 and remained a partner at the firm until 30 September 2022.
He also served as a member of the Deloitte Global Executive Committee, and Deloitte Global Board.

Lwazi is, in addition, an experienced executive and non-executive director, currently serving as the Chairman
of ZEDA Limited, as a member of the Standard Bank Group Limited Board, and Trustee of the Nelson Mandela
Foundation.

The Board looks forward to welcoming Mr Bam to the Group.
