NOTICE OF ACQUISITIONS OF A BENEFICIAL INTEREST IN YORK SECURITIES

In accordance with section 122(3)(b) of the Companies Act, No. 71 of 2008 and paragraph 3.83(b)
of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, York shareholders are advised that following the issue
of York shares pursuant to the York rights offer on Monday, 9 January 2023 and today,
11 January 2023 (“Rights Offer”), the Company has received notification from Peresec Prime
Brokers Proprietary Limited (“Peresec”), advising that it has acquired a beneficial interest in York
securities subsequent to its participation in the Rights Offer, such that Peresec now holds 29.28%
of the total issued ordinary share capital of the Company.

The board of directors of York accepts responsibility for the information contained in this
announcement and certifies that, to the best of its knowledge and belief, the information contained
in this announcement is true and that there are no facts that have been omitted which would likely
