LOSS-OF-LIFE INCIDENT AT HARMONY’S KUSASALETHU MINE


Johannesburg, Monday, 19 December 2022. Harmony regrets to advise that an employee
tragically lost his life on Thursday afternoon, 15 December 2022, following a
seismic event, which caused a fall of ground incident at its Kusasalethu mine,
near Carletonville, in Gauteng.


“We are deeply saddened by this loss. We extend our condolences to the family,
friends and colleagues of the deceased,” Peter Steenkamp, chief executive officer
of Harmony said.


The relevant authorities, as well as the family members of the deceased were
informed of the incident and a comprehensive internal investigation is currently
underway.
