Having reviewed the financial results, the Board is now able to provide further guidance to shareholders in terms of paragraph 3.4(b)(iv) of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements. Shareholders are accordingly advised that, compared with the financial year ended 31 March 2020 (the “previous corresponding period”), profit attributable to ordinary shareholders for the twelve months ended 31 March 2021 is expected to increase by between 138% (R1 050 million) and 143% (R1 090 million) to between R289 million and R329 million, from a loss attributable to ordinary shareholders of R761 million. Earnings per share (“EPS”) is expected to increase by between 138% (980 cents) and 143% (1 020 cents) to between 268 cents and 308 cents, compared to a loss per share of 712 cents for the previous corresponding period. Headline earnings per share (“HEPS”) is expected to increase by between 434% (252 cents) and 453% (263 cents) to between 310 cents and 321 cents, compared to HEPS of 58 cents for the previous corresponding period. The financial results on which this trading statement is based have not been reviewed or reported on by the Group’s external auditors.
