TRADING STATEMENT AND TRADING UPDATE


York is in the process of finalising its results for the six

months ended 31 December 2020 for release prior to 31
March 2021.


In terms of paragraph 3.4(b) of the Listings Requirements of

the JSE Limited, companies are required to publish a trading

statement as soon as they are satisfied that a reasonable

degree of certainty exists that the financial results for the

period to be reported upon next will differ by at least 20%
from the previous corresponding period.


Shareholders are advised that earnings/(losses) per share

('EPS') are expected to increase from (19) cents to between

12.21 cents and 13.54 cents and headline earnings/(losses)

per share are expected to increase from (20) cents to be

between 12.26 cents and 13.66 cents for the six month period
ended 31 December 2020.

Furthermore, Shareholders are advised that:


-   Core   earnings/(losses)   per   share   (based   on   EPS

    attributable to ordinary shareholders less the fair value

    adjustment to the biological assets, net of tax) are

    expected to increase from (2) cents to between 22.61 cents
    and 23.03 cents.


-   Earnings   before   interest,    taxation,   depreciation,

    amortisation and fair value adjustments are expected to

    be between R171.68 million and R175.38 million higher than

    that reported in the previous comparative period of R74

    million (being an increase of between 132% and 137%).


-   Cash generated from operations is expected to be between

    R197.76 million and R200.96 million higher than the R64

    million reported in the previous comparative period being
    an increase of between 209% and 214%.


Shareholders are advised that the financial information

included in this announcement has not been reviewed or

reported on by the       Company's auditors and is the
responsibility of the directors of the Company.
