UPDATE IN RELATION TO DISPOSAL OF INTEREST IN BURGER KING - EXTENSION
OF SHARE PURCHASE AGREEMENT COMPLETION DATE

Shareholders are referred to the Company’s detailed terms announcement on SENS on
19 February 2020 and the updated terms announcement on SENS on 29 July 2020, advising
shareholders that the parties have, on 28 July 2020, concluded a revised binding offer
(“Binding Offer”) regarding the proposed disposal of the Company’s shares it holds in (i)
Burger King (South Africa) RF Proprietary Limited and (ii) Grand Foods Meat Plant Proprietary
Limited, to ECP Africa Fund IV LLC (“Disposal”).

Shareholders are notified that the parties are still finalising the share purchase agreement
(“SPA”) in respect of the Disposal and have extended the date by which the SPA needs to be
finalised in terms of the Binding Offer to 18 December 2020.

Shareholders will be updated in due course.
