Trading Statement eMEDIA HOLDINGS LIMITED (Incorporated in Republic of South Africa) Registration number: 1968/011249/06 JSE share code: EMH IZIN: ZAE000208898 JSE share code: EMN IZIN: ZAE000209524 (“eMedia Holdings” or “the Group”) TRADING STATEMENT In terms of section 3.4 (b) of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, companies are required to publish a trading statement as soon as they are reasonably certain that the financial results for the current reporting period will be more than 20% different than that of the previous corresponding period. For the year ended 31 March 2019, shareholders are advised: - Earnings per share is expected to range between 9 and 12 cents per share (2018: 355.20 cents loss per share). - Earnings per share from continuing operations is expected to range between 15 and 17 cents per share (2018: 351.03 cents loss per share). - Loss per share from discontinuing operations is expected to range between 4 and 6 cents per share (2018: 4.17 cents loss per share). - Headline earnings per share is expected to range between 13.50 and 14 cents per share (2018: 2.81 cents loss per share). - Headline earnings from continuing operations is expected to range between 15 and 17 cents per share (2018: 1.97 cents earnings per share). - Headline loss from discontinuing operations is expected to range between 2 and 3 cents per share (2018: 4.78 cents loss per share). The losses per share in the prior year can be significantly attributed to the impairment of goodwill recognised upon the acquisition of eMedia Investments Proprietary Limited in the year ended 31 March 2014. The financial information on which this trading statement is based has not been reviewed or reported upon by the Group’s auditors.
