NOTICE OF DISTRIBUTION-SOUTH AFRICAN RAND RATE

In Glencore's 2017 results announcement, released on the Stock Exchange News Service of the JSE Limited on 21
February 2018, the board of directors declared a distribution of US$0.20 per ordinary share. As approved by
shareholders at the Company’s AGM held Wednesday, 2 May 2018, the second distribution tranche of US$0.10
payable in the second six months of the 2018 financial year, will be made from the capital contribution reserves of the
Company.

The currency exchange rate applicable for the distribution payable to shareholders on the Glencore plc South African
branch register has been determined by reference to the close of business exchange rate applicable to the South
African Rand on Monday, 27 August 2018. This rate is as follows:

Dematerialisation and rematerialisation of registered share certificates in South Africa may not be effected during the
period from Wednesday, 5 September 2018, to Thursday, 6 September 2018, both days inclusive, nor will transfers
between the Jersey register and the South African register be permitted between Tuesday, 4 September 2018, and
Monday, 10 September 2018, both dates inclusive.

This distribution will be paid on Thursday, 27 September 2018.
