NOTICE OF DISTRIBUTION CURRENCY EXCHANGE RATES (SOUTH AFRICAN RAND)

In Glencore's 2017 results announcement, released on the Stock Exchange News Service of the JSE
Limited on 21 February 2018, the board of directors declared a distribution of US$0.20 per ordinary share.
Subject to shareholder approval, the distribution will be made from the capital contribution reserves of the
Company in two equal tranches of US$0.10 payable in the first six months of the 2018 financial year (H1)
and second six months of the 2018 financial year.

The currency exchange rate applicable for the distribution payable to shareholders on the Glencore plc
South African branch register has been determined by reference to the close of business exchange rate
applicable to the South African Rand on Thursday 12 April 2018. This rate is as follows:

Dematerialisation and rematerialisation of registered share certificates in South Africa may not be effected
during the period from Tuesday, 24 April 2018, to Thursday, 26 April 2018, both days inclusive, nor will
transfers between the Jersey register and the South African register be permitted between Friday,
13 April 2018, and Thursday, 26 April 2018, both dates inclusive.

The H1 distribution will be paid on Wednesday, 23 May 2018.
