Jacques (45) has been CFO-designate of the group since June 2017 and will succeed Les Davies. Jacques joined the group in 2012 and served as general manager: administration prior to his appointment as CFO-designate. An experienced chartered accountant with a background in short-term insurance, banking and retail, Jacques also spent six years with the Shoprite Group in financial and divisional management roles. As advised to shareholders on SENS on 24 May 2017, Les Davies (62) will be retiring as CFO and as an executive director with effect from 31 March 2018. He will continue to serve as the chief executive officer of the group’s short-term insurer, Monarch Insurance.
