APPOINTMENT OF NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
PL Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Njabulo Mthembu (“Njabulo”) as a non-
executive director with effect from 7 August 2017 pursuant to his nomination by Black Management
Forum Investment Company Limited (“BMFI”), as announced on 27 July 2017.
Njabulo is the Managing Director of BMFI. He holds holds a BA in economic history and industrial
psychology from Natal University, a BS in accounting (Magna cum laude) and a MS (accounting) from
Long Island University, New York. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants
(CPA).
Prior to joining BMFI, he was a partner at Treacle Private Equity, a venture capital and private equity firm
for nine years. He also served as a senior deal maker in the Venture Capital unit of the Industrial
Development Corporation. He was previously a senior associate at Deloitte and Touche, New York,
where he managed audit engagements for companies in diverse industries including Leveraged Buyout
Funds. His professional experience includes capital raising, assessing and structuring investments,
performing due diligence investigations and post investment monitoring. Njabulo has concluded
transactions in the IT, Telecoms, Services, Software, Food and High Tech industries.
He has served on the boards of publicly traded and private companies including an assignment as
executive committee and board member of the Southern African Private Equity & Venture Capital
Association (SAVCA). He currently serves on the boards Computershare South Africa (Pty) Ltd, Strategic
Partners Group (Pty) Ltd and Sunfield Fortuna.
The directors extend a warm welcome to Njabulo to the board of PL Group and look forward to working
with him going forward.
